Re: Ubuntu packages still on 12.5?

Okay, I have now noticed that the 12.6 version is available in the 16.10 version, but the stable LTS version 16.04 I am using still contains the obsolete version.

Ubuntu packages still on 12.5?

The 12.6 version is now 9 months old, yet the Ubuntu packages still contain the obsolete 12.5 version.

Does anybody know if there is an active maintainer?

Re: Android support thread

Does the newest version support the in-game help, or is it still the gutted version?

Re: Pause the game to save the Planet!

If you really want to save the planet, don't have any children, or, if you can't help it, don't have more than 1, especially if you live in developed world, America or Europe. Each new child in developed countries surrounded by comfort consumes immense amount of resources during his/her life.

Unless the Help encyclopedia and unit stat page is implemented, this is mostly worthless.

1) That fat dwarven bloke with spear, shield and insane defenses
2) That fat human bloke with crazy armor, shield, and huge spiked mace

... erh, there might be a pattern in my preferences.

Re: WHAT TO DO if you can't beat a scenario in a campaign:

IMO the advice "go back and level a few more units" is the greatest problem of Wesnoth (for me), since it leads to unnatural gameplay. First, you can never be sure you have enough levelled troops, because that depens on what the designer expectations and his projected gameplay style. So so...

Re: Oh my god, they gonna purge the unused accounts!

But... but... forum posts are probably not relevant, they said MP logins are... what if they already began? What if parts of my digital identity are already trickling into irreversible Void?

Wait! Descartes runs to the rescue - this text here is a proof that I post, and therefore I am!

Re: Great Legend Era Campaigns

A bit of "Invincible wall" feedback. - The lvl 2 unit with glaive has a picture where the soldier wields both glaive and a shield. This makes no sense, as glaive requires both hands to use - to take advantage of the "torque", as mentioned in the unit description. There were units...

Air elementals

I have just tried the "Rise of the Elementalist" campaign, and it's quite refreshing. I have just a bit of feedback - the air elementals should be a tad weaker perhaps, but they should have the skirmish ability (feasible for an incorporeal swirl of air). That would make the units a bit mor...

Re: Role of Fencers?

Y'all forgot one crucial thing - due to being able to skirmish, fencers are able to pin wounded enemy troops allowing your troops to finish them off. Usually, better players retreat their wouded or genreally withdraw at the end of their favourable day phase, and that's when wour fencers slip through...

Re: What could I have done better? (Drake vs Rebel + Loyalist)

Saw part of your replay. In my opinion, the biggest mistake was that you were alone, and the opponents were two. Under such circumstances, you'd have to be much more successful tactically, which you really were not. I don't know if it could be won, but two things come to mind: 1) Mobility. Yo...
