What do you think about silver mages? Should I have one, or they haven't got any more useful abilities than others? (and about their advansing, cause I haven't got them in my help registry) And, by the way, whats the deal of the bonus(25 units+enemey leader) in 'The test of the clan' (HttT) Silver ...

Wait... what does any of this have anything to do with the thread's topic? That's exactly what I'm wondering now... Anyway, thanx for the advices on 'A choice must be made', but I don't want it to try it yet, until having a better result in the Sceptre of Fire scenario, if it can be done... Any ide...

The white mages are better against undead because their range attack is holy, and, when they are upgraded to a Mage of Light, they are simply the best. I'll place a little secret here. I think in about 3-4 mission you'll be attacked by a large amount of undead. On the map are two potions, that will...

I had already knights before I entered the siege and managed to upgrade a couple of them to paladins before I met undead. Haven't tried my strategy without paladins. Possibly it would be more important to reach the orcish keep quick if you don't have paladins to assist you against undead. I managed ...

Hi, I would suggest you to defend the forest and the village next to it during night. Even if the orcs have better defence at grassland than in water you will benefit your village/forest posion more. You could try to defend the village with your hero. If he got killed you can try to use Konrad next....

Re: If you really think it would be an improvement
Running for their lives after the charge has been defeated does seem like the Orcish thing to do. Ok, one thing to consider is that the defenders are orcs. Maybe they have less stamina to hold places than humans. I don't think specifically tweaking this behaviour out of the current AI would be the ...

Re: If you really think it would be an improvement
If you really think it would be an improvement I could keep the Orcs grouping in the city on Medium & Hard. This would be trivial to do (AKA fits into my current time constraints. I'm not so busy I can't add an ifdef :) ), But without that suicidal charge across the water the scenario will beco...

Hi, The idea of thieves appearing behind the orcish lines sounds cool however I have been thinking another change. Would it be good idea to make orcs to defend the towers during day? Last time I played they run away and the challenge was to catch them before dusk instead of conquering the towers. I ...

Re: help
can i get tips on how to beat the septer of fire level :?: Hi, couldn't played it at 0.8.9 :( . Previously I did it so that I send two groups of units to north, one with Konrad, and with Li'sar. Use mostly dwarwes. You should also call your shydes and white mages to heal your army. You could also u...

It might be worth having a WML tag for the campaign designer to nuke all level 0 - level 1 units that have no experience. Or maybe have this as the default, with a simple tag to prevent it (for Saving Elensefar, where you can't recruit most of the time, or Wesvoid, where you only get one chance to ...

Did you hire a merman in Muff Malal Peninsula? Usually sending one to islands will pay you well. Park it at shallow water and then kill bats who try attack. Then you could send your merman to take all villages. Mermen have very lousy defence on villages so it is better fight on sea. Hmm, interestin...

OK, told you I'd be back (and to get the thread back on track)-- However, my question goes back to an original question about money. In my game, I came into the Bay with about 350. I did very well, got both kings, did a good job of positioning to keep everyone alive, moved a lot of guys up and so f...

Hi, I think a daytime charge at the island is better strategy than trying to kill orcs in water at night. At least on hard (0.8.9) the orcs escaped to the western shore as I charged in. This way I managed to kill crossbowmen with knights and bring in my elves behind knightly cover to finish other or...
